New Year's and beyond

Me voici maintenant a Salta, une ville au nord de l'Argentine. On l'appelle "Salta la linda". C'est vraiment une belle ville charmante. Au centre de la ville se trouve la plaza 9 de julio. Elle est entouree d'edifice coloniaux vraiment interessant, comme la catedrale (l'interieur est hallucinant), et la iglesia san francisco. J'ai aussi monte une petite montagne a cote de la ville (San Bernardo) ou on peut voir toutes les montagnes incroyablement vertes qui entourent la ville.

Demain, je pars vers le nord. Je vous en donnerai plus de nouvelles.

Pour le nouvel an, j'ai eu beaucoup de plaisir chez les parents d'un ami. Ils ont fait un asado spectaculaire. C'etait la meilleur viande que j'ai mange de ma vie. Voici ce que j'ai mange:

Morcilla: a blood sausage. I know what you are thinking... but it was really one of the best things I've ever tasted.

Molleja: some of kind of gland that comes from the neck of the cow (the thyroid I think). The texture was too much like liver so I didn't really enjoy it.

Chinchulin: the intestines. gross, is all i have to say. Texture like liver and a really strong taste.

Cordero: Lamb. This was amazing. The meat just melted in your mouth.

Pollo: Chicken. St-Hubert really can't compare to this!!! Tender and juicy!!! yum yum.

Pecho de cerdo: Pork ribs.

Costilla: Cow ribs. (Also known as asado)

Chorizo: sausages.

On top of eating delicious food, the family was super fun and I also had the most beautiful view. The Sierras of Cordoba are breathtaking. I'm having a hard time finding pictures on the web that can really show how beautiful it was... so you'll have to wait to see my pictures.

On another note... I will be returning to Montreal very soon. J'ai change mon billet d'avion pour le 19 janvier. J'arriverai vendredi le 20 janvier a Montreal. Je dois confirmer le tout... mais je vous garde au courant!

Vous me manquez tous beaucoup beaucoup. J'ai hate de vous voir. Je vous embrasse fort!
