Minneapolis a un journal tres comparable au Voir. Il s'appelle City Pages. Just a little reminder that dissent is alive and well in America, they published this great article by Steve Perry called "A Child's ABCs of Terrorism"
Cette semaine dans le City Pages, il y a une section qui s'appelle Summer 2004: "every summertime concert, festival, and activity under the sun. " Alors voici ma liste de ce que j'espere faire dans les semaines a venir:
10 juin: Tabla Night
11 juin: Franz Ferdinand... NOT!!! The show is SOLD OUT!!! DAMN!!!!
16 juin: Prince... NOT!!! The cheapest ticket is 48$! I like the guy but... not for 48$
18 juin: Von Bondies
18-27 juin: Jazz Festival
23 juin: Fete de la St-Jean-Baptiste!!! Et oui! avec un violoneux et un groupe A capella qui se nomme "Les Fils des Voyageurs". Feu de joie et tout et tout! Qui aurait cru!
5 juillet: Violent Femmes
9 juillet: They Might Be Giants
28 juillet: Broken Social Scene
6-15 aout: Fringe Festival
7-8 aout: Loring Park Festival (Loring Park c'est un super beau parc, juste a cote des bureaux Utne. J'y suis allee diner une couple de fois.
26-28 aout: Minnesota State Fair (all the meat on a stick you can eat!)
One last thing: in the latest issue (June 2004) of Extra!, there's an article on media reliance on think tanks. A study shows that Media citations of the top 25 think tanks increased 25% from 2002 to 2003: 47% of citations came from Conservative or Center-Right organizations, 39% from Centrist organizations, and 13% from Progressive or Center-Left organizations. You are what you read! so Beware what you read!
