Although beautiful, Minneapolis can also be a strange or ecclectic city. There are two fads here that I don't quite get.
The first is this thing called "high" bikes (click on this link and scroll down the opened page to view the high bikes). They look like double decker buses but for bikes. Strange...
The second... even stranger... is this thing called Cork Cars. There are shows called "Art Car Festivals" or "Wheels as Art" and even a "Art Car Parade", and one of the things you can do with your car is cover it in cork. I guess it's better than the what they did in the 70's: paint nature scenes or naked ladies on the sides of vans! urgh!
P.S. No tabla night yesterday. There was a printing mistake in the City Pages. Bummer.
